I am a queer, sex positive, and spiritually-minded Licensed Professional Counselor. I enjoy taking a holistic, integrative and direct approach that helps clients work through their mental health struggles, existential concerns and relationship challenges. Holding both a Masters in Clinical Counseling and a second Masters in Theological Studies from Moravian University, I am passionate about collaborating with clients who wish to explore and integrate their religion/spirituality into the therapeutic process. I also specialize in religious trauma and deconstruction, gay/bisexual men's issues, and sex-positive counseling.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 8 years of experience. I work with anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma, grief, social skills using a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches.
Therapy can feel uncomfortable and it’s difficult to open up and be honest with ourselves. You don’t have to continue to live with these challenges. When you’re in an environment that’s free of judgement and genuine care you’ll soon realize that change is possible.
Therapeutic fit is an absolute must if you are looking to make progress and be vulnerable with someone. My goal is to meet you where you are and to help you feel safe during our time together. In an effort to connect with you and to create an authentic environment, I use a collaborative, humorous, and down-to-earth approach.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Betis Mind and Mediation, where I support individuals, couples, and families through tough seasons with steadiness, skills, and care. The name “Betis” nods to the ancient Guadalquivir River in Spain—a symbol of flow, resilience, and transformation. Even after hard seasons, we can move forward. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, substance and alcohol abuse as well as divorce mediation.
I take a holistic perspective with my clients to address the health of body, mind, and spirit. I believe that a solid therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is a crucial part of the healing process, and that techniques and therapy approaches must “fit” the client in order to be effective—there is no “one size fits all” therapy.
