Hello! I have over nine years of experience as a licensed marriage and family therapist. I specialize in working with women's issues, life changes, relationship issues, anxiety, and parenting. I try to create a safe and warm space for clients to explore and heal. I look forward to working with you!
I am dedicated to providing a compassionate and client-centered approach to all my services. My practice focuses on building strong, trusting relationships with clients, ensuring that each individual feels heard and understood.
My style is warm and empathetic, creating a safe space for exploration and growth. I utilize evidence-based techniques tailored to your individual circumstances, ensuring that our work together is as effective as possible.
Call me Ben! I've been in private practice as an LCSW for 6+ years and the mental health field at-large for close to a decade. I live in Asheville, North Carolina with my wife and our two cats. I love to go hiking and kayaking, I own a record store where I also work, and love a good gaming session with my friends.
Rebecca is a pet-loving, North Carolina native. She enjoys food, reading, traveling, and DIYs. She is the owner and operator of Nourished Minds Counseling, PLLC. She earned her Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Rebecca has provided therapy to adults, adolescents, and individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community. Her passion is assisting individuals in forming better boundaries, as well as challenging people-pleasing or perfectionistic tendencies. Rebecca also enjoys helping people challenge diet-culture, while working on developing a better relationship with food, movement, and their body as a whole.
Rebecca's goal as a therapist is to create a safe space to process past experiences, shed light on patterns you are engaging in, and provide you with tools to improve your mental health. She aims to foster growth, introspection, and self-acceptance. She is trauma-informed, gender and sexuality-affirming, and health at every size aligned.
Finding the right therapist is so important! Clients need to feel comfortable in order to talk about difficult things. I understand that getting started in counseling is not easy and I have so much respect for those willing to take that step! I want to help and I will walk alongside you without judgment. My style is relaxed and supportive. Clients describe me as down to earth, easy to to talk to and authentic. My specialty is working with people through life transitions.
