Hi! My name is Nicole. I earned my Masters in Counseling from Northwestern University, where I received training in psychodynamic theory. I have been working in the private practice setting for 7 years, primarily working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, existential crisis, and life transition.
I received my BA in Psychology from Southwestern University, my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary's University, and have had additional certifications and training in several areas, including marital therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, ACT, grief work, and mindfulness training.
I have dual Master’s Degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Education. My background in education consist of teaching elementary and middle school children, which allows me to connect with children and adolescents very easily. I also have worked with parents and guardians to overcome hurdles associated with parenting and kinship care.
Hello there, welcome to my profile. My name is David and I am a first generation son from Mexican parents.
I would like my clients to know that I strive to create a therapeutic space that is grounded, collaborative, and emotionally safe. I believe therapy works best when clients feel genuinely understood rather than judged, rushed, or “fixed.” My role is not to tell you who to be, but to help you better understand yourself, your patterns, and the experiences that have shaped you, so you can move forward with greater clarity and intention.
Clients often describe me as calm, attentive, and direct in a supportive way. I am comfortable sitting with difficult emotions and complex life experiences, and I believe that meaningful change comes from understanding the root of distress rather than avoiding it.
