Hello and welcome. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and have been in practice for 29 years. I have worked in diverse settings with adults, children and adolescents, individually, with families, and in groups, both inpatient and outpatient. I am focused on the client and solutions in a practical and straightforward manner. Accepting all clients age 2yrs through Adulthood.
I’m a compassionate counselor who enjoys working with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression. I strive to create a calm, supportive space where you feel safe, understood, and respected. Together, we’ll gently explore challenges, build practical coping tools, and work at a pace that feels right for you. I believe in your resilience and will partner with you as you move toward healing and greater balance.
My background includes in patient psychiatric care, hospice settings, in patient substance abuse facilities, and I have psychodynamic training working with groups, teens, individuals, and couples. I work often with parenting issues, women’s issues, pregnancy/postpartum, adults raised by emotionally unavailable caregivers, sexual issues, and relationship difficulties.

I am a licensed psychologist living in vibrant San Antonio, TX. My career in mental health began in 2010 with a Masters in Psychology then licensure as a psychological associate, professional counselor, and, more recently, a psychologist. My graduate study and supervised experience with therapy and psychological assessment have occurred in community mental health clinics, academic medical centers, school-based programs, and private practice.
I have worked with clients from ages 3 through 80 and with individuals, couples, and families. With that breadth of experience, very little shocks or surprises me, and I am able to develop an individualized approach for each client, combining therapy modalities that play to my strengths as a counselor and that are helpful for the people I’m working with.
Three principles shape all the counseling I do:

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
