Hello, my name is Carolann and I am looking forward to working with you! As human beings, we experience peaks and valleys within our lives that may result in various experiences and feelings. When things are going well, we can feel happy, content, thankful, and even elated. When things are not going well, we can feel down, sad, overwhelmed, and alone. We all deserve to live with the most happiness possible within our lives, but life often brings with it enormous unwanted challenges that result in bringing us down. If you are not feeling emotionally/mentally well as you desire, I am here to help you!
I have over 25-years’ experience in the behavioral health field using my various skills within providing individual, family, and couples therapy, clinical case management and clinical supervision. My therapeutic style is eclectic as I adapt my work in therapy sessions according to your needs. "Believing in yourself is a great first step!"
Some of my techniques include DBT, CBT, (TF-CBT), motivational interviewing, solution focused therapy, family dynamics, interpersonal/relational advocacy & therapy, and clinical case management. I am very client centered and desire for you to feel comfortable throughout our time on your therapeutic journey.
Hi! I’m Brianna, a queer Licensed Mental Health Counselor from Massachusetts passionate about providing inclusive and accessible mental health care to people of all ages through a laid-back, affirming, and collaborative approach as well as an intersectional lense, recognizing how our identities, culture, and the world around us work together to impact our mental health.
I work with individuals who have experiences with complex trauma, anxiety + depression, obsessions/compulsions, neurodivergence, and those who who are part of various minority groups. I do this mainly through the therapeutic relationship which research shows to be the biggest predictor of therapeutic growth. This means I show up to each session as my authentic self, creating a space that feels human, non-judgmental, and safe enough for you to show up as your authentic self, too.
More specific modalities I pull from include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" approach as everybody's experience is unique. I work hard to ensure things feel right for you, not everybody else.
Ultimately, my main goal is to provide the space for you to heal, and I do that best through bringing my authentic self into the therapeutic relationship to foster varying degrees of growth.
