Does life feel overwhelming right now? Are you feeling more anxious or depressed than usual? Are you doing everything you can think of, but nothing is working for you? You are not alone. There is help, hope and healing to feel better and to live well. My name is Jaime Williamson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and owner of Well Life Counseling Services, PLLC. I have been helping others just like yourself for over 11 years. I received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Dominican University School of Social Work in 2009. I have extensive experience working with adults in both private practice and hospital-based settings who are struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression and other mood related disorders.
My journey stems from my own story of resilience in the face of hardships. I became a therapist because I have always wanted to help people through some of their darkest hours. Being exposed to some dark hours myself, I know that it is difficult to do it alone. When you have someone to confide in, assist you through the hard times, and just let you know that you are not alone, makes a difference.
My therapeutic approach includes CBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Relational Therapy, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, SFT, EMT, Gestalt, and just speaking like a human being. I offer a compassionate, trauma-informed space where you can feel safe, seen, and supported. My approach is relational and personalized—we'll explore your story together, build coping tools, and move toward healing with curiosity, courage, and care.
Therapy with me is real, down-to-earth, and never boring. I mix honesty, humor, and heart to make the process comfortable. I help adults manage emotions, build confidence, and tackle life's challenges with tools that work. Think of it as a safe space to be yourself, grow, and maybe laugh along the way.
Welcome to my profile page - I'm so glad you are here!
Whether you are coming to therapy for the first time or have years of experience working with a mental health practitioner, I commend you for taking a step towards positive change.
Life can present even the strongest people with challenging obstacles. Perhaps you want to improve your relationships, quiet your inner critic, let go of perfectionism, live a more purposeful life, or overcome your anxiety? I'm here to help.
Meaningful change requires courage and curiosity. With genuine kindness, compassion (and sometimes a little humor), I can help you achieve the goals you set for yourself.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked in the software and retail manufacturing industries. I believe it was my listening and problem-solving skills and my sincere interest in people's unique life stories that eventually lead me to this role. I have been a counselor for 20 years working in schools and private practice. I have a master's degree in Counseling, I am a certified School Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I specialize in talk therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.

I am an ADHD advocate and enjoy helping clients make sense of the chaotic mind. I also love, love and work with couples experiencing relationship issues.
I received my Master's in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago in 2014. My clinical values are deeply rooted in the ethos of social work, which is that to understand any person, you must understand the context of their life. This includes your family of origin, socioeconomic status, any discrimination you face, and your religious or spiritual belief system. All of these parts of your life will be essential to bring into the therapy space to understand best what ails you and where we might find remedies within you and your community.
