I view trauma as a whole body experience and work with you at your pace. I have more than 10 years of experience working with those who have experienced trauma both as an advocate and therapist.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 13 years of experience supporting individuals and families of various ages. With my skill set I help clients navigate depression, anxiety, postpartum, family stress, intimate partner violence, crisis interventions, major life transitions and so much more. I provide therapy services and specialize in conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments for individuals seeking mental health evaluation, diagnosis, and support. Helping individuals gain a clearer understanding of their mental health through comprehensive evaluations. I help individuals gain a clearer understanding of their mental health through comprehensive evaluations.
Using clinical diagnostic tools, I evaluate presenting symptoms and provide accurate diagnoses. I gather detailed background information and use evidence-based diagnostic methods to determine the most clinically appropriate diagnosis. During the assessment process, I draw from structured interviews, standardized measures, and clinical observation to gain a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s emotional, behavioral, and psychological functioning. Once the diagnostic evaluation is complete, I provide appropriate referrals tailored to each client’s needs—whether that includes specialized therapy/treatment, psychiatry for medication management/evaluation, or other supportive services. I am committed to helping clients access the right level of care and begin a treatment plan that aligns with their goals, symptoms, and long-term well-being.
Building on my decade of experience in the mental health field, my personality style in therapy is rooted in warmth, genuine curiosity, and thoughtful directness. I strive to be a compassionate and steady presence, creating a secure, non-judgmental space where you feel safe to explore your deepest challenges. While I lead with empathy and active listening, I also believe in providing honest, practical feedback and gentle challenges when necessary, ensuring our work together is productive and goal-oriented. My approach is always collaborative—I am here to be a reliable partner and guide, helping you uncover your inherent strengths and wisdom.
Hi, my name is Robyn and I am happy to be on Headway as a therapist with the opportunity to work with you. I have worked over 11 years teaching students with emotional disabilities, and as many years as a counselor. I love all of my clients and feel honored by their trust and the courage that it took for them to come to therapy. I have never lost my unconditional positive regard for anyone. I was married for 15 years and my ex-husband and I are co-parenting friends raising a beautiful, kind, and clever adult with Down syndrome, and ADHD. I am in a deeply committed romantic relationship of four years. In the past I helped raise three stepdaughters whom I enjoyed and am thrilled with the adult women that they have become. I have always had animals, currently owning a cat and a dog who enrich my life immensely. I love people, am friendly, love to meet others and have great friends. I have lived in the burbs and in the ghetto, and worked since I was 13 in many jobs to include roofing , being in the army, and stand-up comedy. I enjoy learning about people's cultures and customs and feel I can relate to anyone.
Deciding to come to therapy can be very scary. Sharing your most intimate thoughts with someone can be even more frightening. This is why I make sure that I create a very safe, caring, positive, and secure place where you can feel comfortable and know that you are with someone who truly cares about your well-being.

Many of the people I work with are navigating burnout, transitions, stress, uncertainty about next steps, or a sense that life’s moving faster than they can keep up with. You want clarity, balance, and a way to turn insight into real-world change, and you want a space that meets you where you are — respectful of your identity, your experiences, and your goals.
